Fast-forward a few years, I found myself teaching Arabic Grammar to teenagers. As a keen Arabic student myself, I was saddened to see how disengaged the majority of the students were; most of them were there because of the insistence of their parents, not because of a love of Arabic grammar. My goal was to inspire in them a love of the Arabic language and an understanding of the Grammar rules.  I set about making a set of resources unique to their course. Having tested the students throughout the year, I was over the moon to inform them that every single student had made progress. When the year came to an end, they gifted me a beautiful hand-written book with heart-warming messages to show their appreciation.

Messages such as:

 ‘You are the only teacher who helped me improve in my Arabic, for years I was struggling in this particular topic, I even detested it…’

 ‘Jazak Allah Khayr for everything you have done … all of the resources and lessons you planned that were so much fun and really helped me to love learning Arabic!’

My vision is to see a shift in the way we teach – from ‘static’ to ‘active’ learning. Let’s transform every classroom from ‘being boring’ to ‘coming alive’. Let’s work together to ensure that every student in every home and every country is learning while having fun and looking forward to learning. Let’s engage in active teaching to gain active learning. To help achieve that goal I will share some of my resources with you, and furthermore, I will be manufacturing a few of the most popular games/learning resources so you can benefit from them, in-sha’Allah.
