Why the Arabic Resources Company?

I started the Arabic Resources Company (ARC) because as a madrasah teacher I struggled to find any suitable resources (apart from flashcards). Wanting the very best for my students, I ended up creating my own set of resources. They were tested in a ‘live’ classroom environment and only on receiving positive feedback from students and teachers did I release them for wider use.

Just a book, a whiteboard and some flash cards…

By the grace of Allah, for the next three years my living room turned into a workshop and I dedicated my time to creating my own teaching resources. My aim was to make learning fun and to bring the classroom to life – the results were amazing, better than I could have imagined.

My goal was to inspire in them a love of the Arabic language

…and an understanding of the Grammar rules. I set about making a set of resources unique to their course. Having tested the students throughout the year, I was over the moon to inform them that every single student had made progress. When the year came to an end, they gifted me a beautiful hand-written book with heart-warming messages to show their appreciation.

Hassan-Ali

The resources Aunty Samina used made me feel more confident and made learning fun for me. I enjoyed using the resources because it helped me remember the content with my learning style. Zaheen

Zaheen was a superstar student, he was so engaged and a really, fast learner. He actually now lives round the corner from me and we are still in touch. He loved our classes and way of learning and has many fond memories. Zaheen’s mum and I have become friends over the years and Zaheen always greets me with the biggest hugs I’ve ever received.
